That's why she's decided to avoid prom angst by going with a group of single friends. And that's why, when two surprise prom invites derail her brilliant plan, Heart takes the only foolproof, drama-free solution: a coin flip--that somehow gives her the chance to live out both prom nights. Heads or tails, where they both end up might be the most surprising thing of all. . .

Liars and Losers Like Us by Ami Allen-Vath - For seventeen-year old Bree Hughes, keeping calm is easier said than done when gossip, grief, and the opportunity to fail at love are practically high-fiving her in the hallways of Belmont High. Then she's asked to be on Prom Court because Maisey Morgan, the school outcast nominated as a joke, decline. She apologizes to Maisey, but it's too late. After years of torment and an ugly secret shared with their class's cruel Pageant Queen, Maisey commits suicide. Bree is left with a lot of regret...and a revealing letter with a final request. With Sean by her side, Bree navigates through her guilt, her parents' divorce, and all the Prom Court drama. But when a cheating love triangle secret hits the fan after a night of sex, drinks, and video games, she's left with new information about Sean and the class Pageant Queen. Bree must speak up or stay silent. IF she lets fear be her guide, she'll lose her first love and head to Prom to avenge the death of the school outcast as a party of one.

Life Just Got Real by Sadie Robertson - Sixteen-year-old A.J. Smith, born and raised in backwoods Tennessee, loves nothing more than repairing broken cars with her father and hanging out with her brothers and their friends. Not far away in the busy city of Nashville, Kate Kelly is always dressed in the latest fashion, wearing clothes from her mother's boutique and jetting around the world with her father.
When A.J. starts going to the school Kate attends, they instantly dislike each other. But as the year progresses, Kate's brother Val is drawn to A.J., and when prom comes around, he asks her to be his date--much to his sister's displeasure. But Kate has bigger things to think about, including the reality show Real Life. Everyone says the show is her chance to make it big. But then the producers decide to bring A.J. into the show.
As the producers of Real Life try to stir up the drama, Kate's idea of the perfect prom spins out of control. When Kate's life goes disastrously wrong, it is A.J. who steps up to help--no questions asked. A friendship between the two girls just might grow--but only if they both live original and stay true to whom God made them to be.

My Fair Godmother by Janette Rallison - After her boyfriend dumps her for her older sister, sophomore Savannah Delano wishes she could find a true prince to take her to the prom. Enter Chrissy (Chrysanthemum) Everstar: Savannah's gum-chewing, cell phone-carrying, high heel-wearing Fair Godmother. Showing why she's only Fair--because she's not a very good fairy student--Chrissy mistakenly sends Savannah back in time to the Middle Ages, first as Cinderella, then as Snow White. Finally she sends Tristan, a boy in Savannah's class, back instead to turn him into her prom-worthy prince. When Savannah returns to the Middle Ages to save Tristan, they must team up to defeat a troll, a dragon, and the mysterious and undeniably sexy Black Knight. Laughs abound in this clever fairy tale twist from a master of romantic comedy.   Book 1 of 3 in the Godmother series

Prom & Prejudice by Elizabeth Eulberg - After winter break, the girls at the very prestigious, very wealthy, girls-only Longbourn Academy are suddenly obsessed with the prom, which they share with the nearby, equally elitist, all-boys Pemberly School. Lizzie Bennett, who attends Longbourn on scholarship, isn't exactly interested in designer dresses and expensive shoes, but her best friend, Jane, might be-especially now that Charles Bingley is back from a semester in London. Lizzie is happy about her friend's burgeoning romance, but less than impressed by Will Darcy, Charles's friend, who's as snobby and pretentious as his friend is nice. He doesn't seem to like Lizzie either, but she assumes it's because her family doesn't have money. It doesn't help that Charles doesn't seem to be asking Jane to be his prom date, or that Lizzie meets George Wickham, who tells her that Will Darcy sabotaged his scholarship at Pemberly. Clearly, Will Darcy is a pompous jerk who looks down on the middle class-so imagine Lizzie's surprise when he asks her to the prom!
Will Lizzie's prejudice and Will's pride keep them apart? Or are they a prom couple in the making?

(2) Her father's too busy with his "replacement" daughter to care. (3) Her best friend's brother is an eternal thorn in her side. (4) Her best friend isn't exactly the rose attached to that thorn. (5) Rumors are flying around school that could get her kicked off the volleyball team, which would (6) ruin all chances of a college scholarship. (7) She still likes the boy who dumped her in the first place. (8) And what in the world do you do with an unworn prom dress, anyway? Strangely, it's getting to the bottom of this last dilemma that just might hold the answer to all Nic's problems.
